ÇELYÖK Student Photographic Competition Results



The student photographic competition on Steel Structures organized by ÇELYÖK, the TUCSA-Steel Structure Student Club, in order to draw attention to the importance and quality of Steel Structures, to contribute to the development and expantion of steel structure utilization in accordance with national and international standards in Turkey, and to introduce the most admirable aspects of steel to those students who will be working with it in their future careers, has culminated.

First Cup

The student photographic competition on Steel Structures organized by ÇELYÖK, the TUCSA-Steel Structure Student Club, in order to draw attention to the importance and quality of Steel Structures, to contribute to the development and expantion of steel structure utilization in accordance with national and international standards in Turkey, and to introduce the most admirable aspects of steel to those students who will be working with it in their future careers, has culminated.


In the second year of this competition 32 works were admitted. Assessed by the competition jurors Emin HAKARAR (Photographic Artist), Melih şIMSEK (Akşan CEO), Murat GERMEN (Architect, Faculty Member, Photographic Artist), Sedat MIRKELAM (Photographic Artist) and Selçuk ÖZDIL (TUCSA Administrative Board Member) has awarded first place to Osman Güres image with code no 65689-1, called KUPA (Cup), Cüneyt Çelik s image with code no 00055-2 called TREN (Train) second place, and the third place was shared by Cüneyt Çelik image with code no 00055-4, called GECE ve KÖPRÜ (Night and Bridge) and Osman Goren s image with code no 65989-2, called ÇELİK AVCISI (Steel Hunter).


First prize winner will be receiving 750, second 500, and the third 350 Turkish liras who will be presented with these at the 10th Structural Steel Day which will be held at 0Tİ S¸leyman Demirel Kultur Merkezi on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009.
