ECCS President Yardimci’s marathon


Prof. Dr. Nesrin YARDIMCI who has taken over the Presidency of European Convention for Constructional Steelwork-ECCS in Barcelona on September 18, 2009 is working full steam. Besides ECCS responsibilities Prof. YARDIMCI carries on with her work at her university and actively is involved mainly in the organization of the 2010 International Symposium for TUCSA, Turkish Constructional Steelwork Association. In regard of her ECCS duties Prof. Dr. YARDIMCI has attended ECCS Management Working group-MWG meeting on Dec. 2, 2009, ECCS Executive Board-EB meeting on Jan. 10, 2010 in Brussels and noted that many important issues like 2009 financial Report, ECCSís Lobbying Activity Plan, Massonnet Award, and the International Symposium program which will be held in Istanbul on Sep. 21-23, 2010 were discussed and resolved. Prof. Dr. YARDIMCI also presented the Tevfik Seno Arda Anadolu Lycee in Helsinki on Nov. 12-13. Prof. Dr. YARDIMCI will attend as a Scientific Committe Member to the 7th International ìBridges on the River Danubeî Conference in Sophia, capital city of Bulgaria on Oct. 14-15, 2010.
