"Biggest shortcoming in Turkey is that there is no futurism. Meaning, no one considers what will happen in 2050. Or people who consider this may be acting as if they are smart. Futurism is a science, it means people deciding on their futures by making use of statistics of the past. I see that Turkey is on the verge of this. Thus, I desire to have hopes for the future. Turkey is changing and growing very fast but people need to think with everything they have, their minds and emotions, to prevent growth like cancer. Steel is an indispensable structural element when its own dimensions and speed is provided.
We are an earthquake zone but still reinforced concrete structures are constructed.
It is unbelievable but it is used as it is simple and easy. This is due to the fact that people think of today, not tomorrow. However, steel will
definitely come into prominence as an indispensable structural element when we become a society thinking of its future. I am of this opinion today but architecture is not an art you perform at your home. Meaning, it is not an area where I can work however I want at home like sculpture or painting.
Therefore, civilized countries see architecture as a result of an organism. You see that Mimar Sinan does not appear at the time of Vahdettin, but Sultan Süleyman. Good architectural example is also the level of civilization of a society.
