January export of the sector raised 43 percent making 176 thousand tons, and 31 percent making 151 million 264 thousand dollars on the value basis, in contrast to the same month last year. According to Steel Pipe Producers Association (ÇEBİD) data 23 million 800 thousand dollars worth of steel pipes were exported to England with 190,37 percent growth; 5 million 613 dollars worth of steel pipes were exported to Netherlands with 100,29 percent growth; and 3 million 955 thousand dollars worth of steel pipes were exported to Greece with 102,99 percent growth. The export figures of January has raised the morale of the sector that showed the tendency of slowing down in the last quarter of the last year due to the effects of protectionist economy policies and anti damping cases.
