New Konya Stadium constructed in Konya province Selçuklu municipality area has been designed for a spectator capacity of 42.000 and in accordance with FIFA and UEFA standards for international organizations. Load-bearing system of the structure consists of 16 blocks constituting a reinforced concrete frame. Façade and roof load-bearing systems consist of steel structure systems anchored to the above-mentioned reinforced concrete blocks. A composite deck system is formed with the column-beam-purlin system connected to the reinforced concrete structure in the façade and additional space is created. Furthermore, supporting system required for façade membrane application is connected to nodal points added to façade columns. Roof is composed of 76 no. of trusses with a length of 53 meters, where 46 meters of the truss is of cantilever nature. These trusses were fixed to transfer tension to façade steel colums at one point and compression to reinforced concrete block at another. Membrane was used as coating material on the roof. Spacer trusses of cross vault type were placed on roof trusses for roof membrane forms.
