Turkish-German University Corrosion and Abrasion Test, Research and Advanced Characterization Center (KATIM) Controlled Project Feasibility Study Opening Meeting has been held on 14 September 2020 in Turkish-German University Beykoz Campus.
As Turkish Construction Steel Association, we support Turkish - German University Surface Activities Test and Research Center (YITAM) Feasibility Project by utilizing Structural Steel Training and Research Center Commercial Enterprise. The main objective of our project having great importance for our country is to conduct field studies, industrial status analysis, interaction studies with stakeholders and visits to domestic and international research and development centers for the feasibility report for founding the Surface Activities Test and Research Center (YITAM) in order to prevent damaging in early life by improving corrosion and abrasion resistance in material surfaces and coatings, and playing an active role in damage analysis processes.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. B. Aykut Arıkan, University Coordinator Prof. Dr. Izzet Furgaç, project team and project stakeholders MESS, IMMIB, TUCSA and GALDER attended the meeting coordinated by Faculty of Science Deputy Dean and Project Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Çağatay Elibol. Our Association has been presented by Board Chairman H. Yener Gür’eş and YAÇEM General Manager Aydın Kulaksız.
