“TUCSA CAN BE AN APPROVED INSTITUTE”
Bülent YALAZI, General Directorate of Construction, Ministry of Public Works
“We have to look at legislation to say how good or what quality the construction materials are. Laws, then regulations, then the standards of application are all have to be restructured. We can think of this as the benefits or a chance brought forth by the EU norms. For instance we should be striving for EUROCODEs to be instated rightfully in the sector but we also wish to see the sector partaking in these efforts. We want to have “Approved Institutes” in these standards. There is a gap in CE signs for example and this gap should be filled with the national standards. And we appoint “Accreditation Institutes” in this area. There are hundreds of products in tne steel sector. We want to see CE and G labels on these. We are aware of your TUCSAmark effort. Your being an Approved Institute is worth considering.
