The Jury of the National Steel Structure Awards 2018 held biannually by Turkish Construction Steel Association (TUCSA) convened in TUCSA headquarters on 10 October 2018. Awards Jury of Ece Ceylan Baba, Selcuk Iz and Onur Gulec under the chairmanship of Ahmet Alatas assessed the submitted 14 projects against the participation criteria in the competition specifications and determined that 8 projects were under the “Structure Award Category” and 6 projects were under the “Project Award Category”. In the assessment against the specification criteria, under the Structure Category; Ashgabat International Airport Terminal Building, Mersin Sports Hall and Sveti Stefan Bulgarian Church Restoration Project were awarded unanimously without ranking order. Under Project Category, Antalya Regional Products Bazaar and Eskisehir High-Speed Train Station Projects were awarded.
Furthermore; encouragement awards were presented to Ashgabat Olimpic Stadium under “Sports Structures” category and Zincirlikuyu ZIN2 Project under “High Rise Structures” category. The awards will be presented to the project stakeholders of the awarded projects during the Award Ceremony to be held in the 19th Structural Steel Day on 25 October 2018.
